This year's Fortescue Australian Pairs competition was held in almost brilliant sunshine so that after the very wet June, the weather brought happy smiles to all 30 players whether they were winning or losing. By 5:30 the result was a clear win for Bill Shaw and Jan Davidson but they were closely followed up by Colin Barnard and Jenny Davies as runners up.
