Camberley v, Bookham

As we travelled to Camberley through heavy rain, it didn't encourage us in the task ahead. Although the rain eased after 45 mins of play, the damage was done ,creating a playing surface that was heavy & awkward. Camberley, a team with several Surrey players in their midst, created a formidable lead with home advantage and as the sky darkened as another heavy rainfall began, the match was conceded.

I would like to thank our teams, skipped by David Emery and Liz Attwood for their time and conscientious effort against a strong tournament team with exceptional bowlers. Thanks also to our drivers, (Bill, Keith & Steve ) the travelling reserves (Steve & Shirley) and to our supporters President Janice & Sue Pearson who travelled with us. We did appreciate your presence.

We look forward to a kinder early draw for next season.
