Bookham Ladies had a very successful but nail biting match in the MSL v ESL playoff held at Sutton yesterday afternoon (24th May).
Bookham ladies won the Mid Surrey Ladies league (MSL) last season. There is then a play off with the East Surrey Ladies League (ESL) the winners (Purley Bury BC) on a neutral ground the following season, hence the match yesterday.
Thankfully the weather was kind to us and the green was easy going. On one rink Bookham were forging ahead but unfortunately the other rink were trailing. At 17 ends Bookham had an overall lead of 1 point so the final end was very tense. Bookham took on the challenge and won the end on both rinks giving Bookham an overall win with:.

We don’t have The Cup yet as there was a mix up with cups! but we are assured it will get to Bookham asap.
