Bowls England Men's Top Club V. Burpham Weds. 23rd June 2021

This match was fortunately played on a warm summers evening contrary to recent weather conditions and it was there that our luck and good fortune ended. Played over 5 disciplines involving 11 players from each club we lost the match 0-5 to a strong Burpham team.

However we had several rinks with close finishes with:

Two Wood Singles: Tony Moore in a close encounter losing 10 - 13

Pairs : Bill Shaw Paul Hartley losing the final end 15 - 16

Fours: Roger Dodds David Granger Steve Edmonds Alan Armitage

going into the last end 14 - 14 & holding shot until the last bowl from

the Burpham skip denied a win.
