Twelve teams, some from Kent & Sussex and others locally from Caterham and Leatherhead competed for the Poland Cup at Brockham as temperatures soared into a steamy, hot 36 degs. during the afternoon last Sunday.

A great performance in the opening 3 group games saw the 'Bookham Bouncers' go straight into the semi finals after 2 games including a resounding win against a strong Leatherhead team, winning 9 - 3 in the allotted 6 ends.

Winning the semi final against St Martins from Kent saw us facing Cheam Fields in the final but our luck ran out going into the last end where we needed 4 to draw & 5 shots to win. Holding 5 shots midway through the end alas the target was too big and the opposition managed to get amongst our bowls to win the game.

A very well organised event, a fabulous lunch & tea and good company with friends from Brockham, Leatherhead and Epsom Park cheering us on.
