Another fantastic result for the Bookham men in this national Bowls England competition which sees us through to the area quarter-finals !

With a 6 pm start yesterday evening, rain started falling an hour before the game but cleared to become a pleasant evening within a few minutes from the start of the match.

Despite a disappointing performance from the men’s captain, the team carried us through to win on 3 rinks and lose on 2, the scores being as follows :-

2W Singles – David Emery – Lost 11-16

4W Singles – Phil Burge –  Won 21-15

Pairs – John Goodhall/Graham Tring – Lost 5-21

Triples – Bill Shaw/Les Burgess/Steve Mullins – Won 14-11

Rink – Gary Draper/Chris Middleton/Stephen Collyer/Steve James – Won 18-13
