Two teams travelled to Dorking to contest the maiden Abbeyfield Trophy. 

On a lovely sunny afternoon on an impressively 'green' Green - Bookham, Brockham, Dorking and Pippbrook competed. Each club entered 2 triples, and each triple played 2 matches - 9 ends. Club that won most matches would win the trophy!

Bookham 'Rollers' won their games 8-5 and 8-3. 'Bees' drew first game against Pippbrook 6-6 and won next game 7-6.

Both teams showed grit, determination and great team spirit during this competition - well done all!

Two clubs shared the same result- 3 wins and a draw! But Pippbrook scored one more shot than Bookham to win the inaugural Trophy.

A very enjoyable afternoon played in an excellent spirit by all teams. Our thanks to Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society who sponsored this event.
